ICQ is a messaging service for chatting, sending instant messages and using games with other online users. With more than 700 million instant messages sent and received every day, ICQ has been known to the online community as a messaging service. ICQ allows users to meet and interact through instant messaging services such as text, voice, video and VoIP as well as various entertainment and community products. Today, a little more than a decade after the first ICQ instant messaging service was launched it has become much more than just that. This instant messenger can be used in a multi-user format, and operates in the background using low resources. It also has an alert system that alerts you when someone is contacting you and you are using another application. ICQ features include sending text messages, offline support, multi-user chats, free daily-limited SMS sending, resumable file transfers, greeting cards, multiplayer games and a searchable user directory.
